Wolcott, Lana

Ibero American Action League. Inc

Lana has provided children, families and teachers coping strategies during some of the hardest and most challenging time in a child’s life. Whether it was a child struggling with their parent’s new work schedule, the departure of his/her teacher, or the death of a family member, Lana understood and found ways to help that child cope. She went out of her way to create sensory bins for them, motivational charts for teacher to use and facilitated many courageous conversations with parents to get their child the help they need. She is resourceful and knows how to use those resources to help children and families. And she never allowed language to be a barrier, she found ways to communicate with families in their primary language. She has brought hope to many of our children and for those reasons she is our own Bright Light.
