Ali has been with our Healthy Families program since the summer of 2020. She started her Healthy Families work in 2014 with a program in Rhode Island and then in Georgia. The Healthy Families model uses an infant mental health approach that is relationship-focused, strengths-based, culturally respectful, and anchored to the parallel process. When we hear that a family is interested in the partnership we can offer, Ali begins a conversation with them to learn more about their family and what they want for their children. Ali is a Certified Lactation Counselor and also works as a breastfeeding and parenting educator for our local Cornell Cooperative Extension. Ali’s eagerness to ensure children have a healthy foundation makes her a BRIGHT LIGHT to our program, the families and children we support, and our community!
