Stepping into leadership after working alongside your colleagues can be one of the most rewarding, and most challenging transitions in your career. New supervisors and directors are often expected to lead with confidence while managing shifting relationships, new authority, and evolving expectations, all with little guidance on how to navigate the change. This interactive training is designed to support emerging and newly promoted leaders as they transition from peer to supervisor with clarity, confidence, and intention. Participants will explore how to establish healthy professional boundaries, communicate with authority while maintaining respect, manage difficult dynamics, and lead former peers without overcompensating or disconnecting.

Through real-life scenarios, reflective discussion, and practical leadership tools, participants will strengthen their supervisory presence, learn strategies for navigating uncomfortable situations, and develop a leadership approach that is both effective and relational. This experience creates space for honest conversation about power, professionalism, and the emotional complexity of stepping into leadership.

Participants will leave with concrete strategies to lead with confidence, maintain accountability, and build strong, respectful team cultures while honoring the relationships that already exist.
