This is a remote learning opportunity for those who work with infants and young children and their families. The online course is designed to give an overview of infant (0-5) mental health and prepare the student for real-life experiences. This is the second of two Infant and Early Childhood First Responses modules. These can be viewed separately or sequentially.

The course is “self-guided” and can be started and paused as many times as needed for completion. It will typically take a total of 1 hour to complete. A certificate is emailed at completion.

Participants will review infant and early childhood mental health, and apply this knowledge and awareness of children’s emotional well-being, and its disruption to their role as “first responders.” In addition, they will examine their capacity to respond, their specific role as a responder and the roles of other community members. Participants will develop their own resource list for first responses.
