“We have all lived through so much this past year. At times it felt horrible and overwhelming, and at times we surprised ourselves with resilience and grace. I am always amazed when, in the midst of ‘awful,’ there is room for wonder and hope!” Wendy Bender, NYS-AIMH Executive Director

All are welcome to attend.  There is no charge for this event.

You are cordially invited to spend Friday morning, March 19th, from 9 am until noon, with NYS-AIMH’s Board, members, staff, and friends.  We will share the story of NYS-AIMH’s growth and success in 2020 – despite enormous challenges the year brought.  You will participate in creating and carrying the vision for NYS-AIMH’s work in 2021 – to expand Infant Mental Health-informed practice across disciplines, and across the state.   You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in small group conversations with colleagues statewide.

VERY SPECIAL GUEST! Wade Norwood, CEO Common Ground Health in Rochester, NY.

Rochester native Wade Norwood has held leadership positions in the community for more than three decades, including roles in public service, education and health care.   He championed the creation of the African American Health Coalition, the Latino Health Coalition and the Partnership for Access to Healthcare. Currently, Norwood serves on the board of the national Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement, which works to transform healthcare delivery, payment and information systems. Since 2009, he has served as an at-large member of the New York State Board of Regents. Responsible for the general supervision of all educational activities within the state, the Regents preside over the University and the New York State Education Department. A leader in Rochester’s faith community, Norwood is also president and senior pastor at the Holy Jerusalem Spiritual Church.
