For all of you who work with, or on behalf of very young children, their families and their caregivers we are compiling resources that might be of interest. Thank you to all who have been sharing and a special thanks to Carrie Stein, LCSW-R, who has been a wealth of information!
We will continue to add to this list. Suggestions are welcome – send to firstname.lastname@example.org
How are YOU doing?
When you are about to take a flight, the safety instructions will always say, “If we should experience a change in air pressure the oxygen masks will release. If you are traveling with young children be sure to put your mask on first.” The message is clear that if you don’t take care of yourself first, you won’t be able to help others.
Do whatever you can to take care of yourself right now. Life is not normal and we can't be expected to pretend it is and make it so. Strive for a healthy dose of flexibility, creativity and compassion (for yourself and everyone else).
