On Friday, March 13, 2020 from 8:30 – Noon

We will gather together online using Zoom, and in- person in communities
across New York State.

Many of you joined us for the recent Breakfast for Babies event in December. Our guest speaker, the incredible Mickey Sperlich PhD, MSW,  offered us information and inspiration. One thing that she suggested for each of us to do, was to, “Look in your community to find out who else is doing this work.” The plan for the annual meeting is to invite communities to do just that.A short business meeting will invite everyone to hear the incredible efforts that are underway at NYS-AIMH. You will then have the opportunity to hear a panel discussion, featuring multidisciplinary professionals from the Rochester area who are collaborating to build their regional Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health workforce capacity.

PANEL: Building IECMH Professional Capacity in Rochester: A Community in Practice.
For the past 6 years, the infant and early childhood professional community in Rochester, NY has been planting seeds for increasing IECMH professional capacity. Recently, those seeds have started to sprout with multidisciplinary professional collaboratives, and initiatives that increasingly including IECMH as a priority. This has led to some positive shifts in advocacy efforts, policy changes, and funding opportunities. Panelists from Rochester will share their perspectives on successes, challenges, working across disciplines, prioritizing an IECMH informed community of practice, and where they hope to be in the next decade.

Your local discussion will invite you to consider how this fits for your community.
